Thumbs up Start an Office Cleaning Business

An office cleaning business is ideal for would-be entrepreneurs who do not have huge financial resources. Why? Because it is the kind of business where one can start small and can bring in profits in a matter of weeks. As a service business, a large chunk of the needed capital is made up of labor, which in most cases is provided by the owner himself. Hence, business costs are mainly limited to advertising and acquiring the cleaning supplies and implements needed. Moreover, the business can be run from home, avoiding the added expense of renting an office space.

Contrary to what the name suggests, the clientele is not restricted to offices only but could also include other establishments such as stores, hospitals and hotels. This offers the business owner a broad customer base and provides many avenues for expansion and diversification of services offered. These add-ons may be equipment maintenance, curtain and carpet cleaning or window washing; and, could bring in additional profits.

The work schedule for this type of profession is more flexible than the routine nine to five that most employees have. Although this could mean working late during the day when business is closed and office staff members have gone home, some still find it beneficial because they are free to accomplish other tasks during normal business hours.

To be able to do a light cleaning job in an office, initial implements needed are a glass cleaner, an all-purpose cleaner and a vacuum cleaner, which all amount to less than $200, and the business owner can then start earning. More supplies and equipment can certainly be added as the business grows.
