US equities at Wall Street ended the day on a pleasant note
Growing conviction that central banks would do much better to bolster struggling economies worldwide took the US equities at Wall Street to end the day on a pleasant note. A top Fed official said in an interview published on Tuesday that the central bank should do "much more" monetary easing to encourage a sluggish economic recovery. The Dow Jones Industrail Average gained 193.45 points to 10,944.72. The Standard &Poor's 500 rose 23.72 point to 1,160.75. The Nasdaq Composite Index jumped 55.31 points to 2,399.83.
