Smile The oil market ended up the day on a negative note

The oil market ended up the day on a negative note as dismal economic data and bulging US oil inventories kept investors worried about the economy and the outlook for oil demand.
Jim Ritterbusch, president at Ritterbusch & Associates said: "(T)here were no surprises in today's trade as bullish speculative positions continue to be unwound amid a big contraction in economic optimism."
A barrel of crude oil for September delivery settled down 97 cents at $73.46 a barrel .
