A large deal on the street today was the news that Dow Chemical (NYSE: DOW) was buying Rohm and Haas (NYSE: ROH) at $78 a share or $18 billion. The deal was all cash and consisted of $3 billion in financing from Berkshire Hathaway plus, $1 billion from Kuwait Investment Authority.
