It's All About The Financials

One of the most important stock sectors that any trader or investor can follow is the large financial stocks. The large bank stocks have led the major stock indexes over the past six years. In 2007 and 2008, this leading stock market sector lagged the major stock indexes signaling that major problems were on the horizon. These days, the leading financial stocks are leading the major stock indexes and that is positive for the major market indexes.

Some of the leading financial stocks that seem to be important for traders and investors to follow include JPMorgan Chase & Co (NYSE:JPM), Goldman Sachs Group Inc (NYSE:GS), Morgan Stanley, and BlackRock Inc (NYSE:BLK). The most important of all of these stocks mentioned is J.P. Morgan Chase. This stock is the real bank of America and can be used as an ETF for the large too big to fail financial institutions. As long as JPM stock holds up the major stock indexes should also hold up as well. Should this stock come under some distribution then it could be time to expect these major stock indexes to come under some real selling pressure. Simply put, it is all about the financial stocks.
